and was the last time I would get to see Carolina/Clemson during my

tenure at USC. We pulled out a W and I was able to talk some trash to

My favorite memory would be when we came into the Hawaii bowl three years ago on Christmas Eve as the underdogs and won it. It was our first bowl game in twenty years and Nevada was the heavy favorite. We started the game with three straight scoring drives and never looked back. I believe the final score was 45-17. Best early Christmas present SMU fans could have received. The only close second would be beating TCU last year at TCU when they were the defending Rosebowl champs.

My favorite Tennessee moment has to be the 2009 Halloween night game versus South Carolina. UT warmed up in our classic home Orange and White uniforms, then burst out of the tunnel and through the T in black shirts. The decision for the uniform change didn’t happen until Wednesday or Thursday, even though there was chatter for months beforehand. Anyway, the Vols responded quite well, opening the game with 3 touchdowns to make the result never within reach. The Vols’ overwhelming success created the best atmosphere I’ve ever seen, and the partying that followed, costumes and all, made it unbeatable.

As for my favorite football memory, it would have to be the Mizzou-Kansas game in 2007. Kansas is our arch rival, so it’s always a big deal whenever we play them, but this time it was especially huge because we were ranked #3 in the country and Kansas was ranked #2. The game was held at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and ESPN’s College Gameday was in attendance. My friends and I got to the parking lot early to tailgate and I remember it being so cold since it was late November, Once we got into the stadium, I was in awe of how loud the crowd was.  There was a divide along the the middle of the sold-out stadium where one side was all dressed in blue and red and the other were clad in black and gold. The game itself was great. Mizzou got out to a 21-0 lead, but the Jayhawks came back to make it 34-28 late in the fourth quarter. KU had the ball on the 11 yard line, but Mizzou sacked their quarterback, Todd Reesing in the endzone to end the game. As a result Mizzou was ranked #1 in the country until the following week when we lost to Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship.

I’d say that my favorite football memory had to be during the 2005 LSU v. Auburn game in Baton Rouge. I was in the student section in biting my nails (figuratively) during overtime; LSU had the lead but Auburn had the ball. Thunderous roars that occurred while Auburn kicked the ball fell into the quietest silence I had ever heard (which is pretty impressive considering I was surrounded by well more than 90,000 people) as the ball flew toward the uprights. Then the moment of elation came from the reverberating sound of pigskin bouncing off of the left upright - the crowd jumped and roared and screamed into pure jubilation. It was insane in the student section that night!
